Spacious house, but disappointing cleanliness, maintenance, and privacy issues made the stay uncomfo Positive: The only real positive was that we were allowed to check in early, which we appreciated after a long trip. The house itself is also relatively spacious. Negative: Unfortunately, the property did not meet expectations at all and looked significantly worse in reality than in the photos. The “BBQ Backyard” advertised in the listing was very dirty and poorly maintained. The BBQ grill itself looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time and was not in acceptable condition to use comfortably. The backyard no longer resembles the green area shown in the listing photos and instead looked neglected. The house also did not feel properly cleaned overall. There were multiple maintenance issues, including the bathroom door in the master bedroom not closing properly and a damaged sofa handle in the living room. Privacy during the stay was another major issue. At one point, the owners entered the property while we were sleeping with jet lag, without receiving proper confirmation from us that we agreed to let them in. They mentioned wanting to check something related to the TV, although we had never requested assistance with it. There was also a strange situation involving their gardener. A person was sleeping overnight in a parked car outside the property, and only later did we find out it was their gardener whose car had broken down. Then, during our stay, she spent two days walking around and doing work in the backyard area while we were trying to relax. This felt intrusive and uncomfortable, especially when renting an entire private house. Overall, the property felt poorly maintained, lacked privacy, and did not justify the expectations created by the listing photos.
